As easy as it gets—tender chicken in a rich, savory gravy that's perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup (one 10.5 oz can)
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 4 oz cream cheese (half a block)
- 0.25 tsp salt (to taste)
- 0.25 tsp black pepper (to taste)

Place chicken in the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper.

Whisk together the cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, and chicken broth. Pour over the chicken.

Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.

About 30 minutes before serving, cube the cream cheese and stir it into the gravy until melted and smooth.

Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the gravy.
