Classic homemade waffles with warm cinnamon flavor. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1.5 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2 whole eggs
- 1.75 cup milk
- 0.5 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your waffle iron.
- 2
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- 3
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. A few lumps are fine. Overmixing makes waffles tough.
- 5
Lightly grease the waffle iron if needed. Pour batter onto the center (about 3/4 cup for a standard iron) and cook until golden and crispy, usually 3-5 minutes depending on your iron.
- 6
Serve warm with maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
